NOTICE TO DISCONNECT SUMP PUMPS FROM THE SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM 

Please take a moment to confirm that the sump pump in your home is not draining into the sanitary sewer system.  Sump Pumps must be diverted to the curb or out to the yard.

  • Ordinance 410.06, Sec. 1 states: No person(s) shall discharge or cause to be discharged any unpolluted water such as storm water, ground water, roof runoff, surface drainage, or non-contact cooling water to    any sanitary sewer.

  • Any person found in violation of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and on conviction thereof, shall be fined in the amount not exceeding $100.00 for each violation.

SNOW EMERGENCY REMINDER: In the event of a Snow Emergency please remember...

  • A snow emergency may be called, requiring all vehicles to be removed from City Streets and alleys within  12 hours.

  • Vehicles will be towed, at owners expense, if found in violation of an active Snow Emergency.

  • Notices will be posted on Mediacom Channel 8, Radio Stations KKOK & KMRS.

  • Residents may also contact the Police Department at 563-4214.

Park Board - The City of Wheaton is looking for a new member to join the Park Board.
